This photo was taken at our house in Peru, Vermont, our happy place. Recently purchase the house a year ago, and have been slowly updating it throughout the past year. It's a labor of love, but has been a source of serenity throughout uncertainty. The first time we visited the house since quarantine, we sat for hours looking at this view. Absorbing all nature had to offer in its glory. We genuinely sat there for hours the first time we left the house since quarantine and at that moment, we realized how lucky and fortunate we were to have this place to ourselves. It's a place that allows us to take stock of the incredible places and things we have in this world, and how much we took it for granted. I wish I could bottle it up and give it to folks who are struggling to have a moment of peace to themselves. It's a healing place that restores us.
